Ian Announces 2026 Re-Election Camapign

I’m Ian VanSteenbergh, a Midway native, City Councilmember, and I’m running for re-election to continue serving our community.

I was born and raised in Midway by local business owners who taught me the importance of hard work, listening to others, and serving the community. Serving on City Council has been one of the greatest honors of my life because it gives me the opportunity to give back to the town that has given so much to me.

I’m proud of what we have accomplished over the past two years, but there’s always more we can do to make a great community even better. I want to continue being a good steward of our tax dollars, investing in our roads and sidewalks, improving our parks and public spaces, strengthening our local economy, and ensuring every resident has the best quality of life possible.

Just as importantly, I want us to plan ahead and be proactive. We should address challenges before they become problems, make thoughtful investments in our future, and protect the small-town charm and historic character that make Midway special.

Government should work for the people, and I believe the best way to serve Midway is to listen to our residents, understand what they need, and work together to make our town even better. So, please reach out with your ideas, concerns, or questions!
